Support Worker
My name is Jacob and I am a 2nd Year Nursing student at the University of Queensland. I have over 450 hours of experience working in hospital ward settings that specialise in the care of surgical and medical patients, and also have experience working in aged care settings. Through placements I have been able to participate in the care of many different kinds of patients and learn from highly experienced nurses. During clinical placement I assist in nursing duties, such as assisting people with personal cares and the overall management of their health conditions. I have future dreams of becoming a doctor and believe the skills I learn in nursing will greatly aid me along my path.
I love to work with people of all ages and grew up as the eldest of three younger sisters. I am grateful to be part of a large family, and being the eldest has taught me many important life values! Having younger siblings has taught me how to be responsible, caring and conscientious.
I value the importance of home caring as it allows for people to receive valuable services in the comfort of their own home, and be given the right amount of attention they need.
