Dee is an Animal-Assisted Therapist who is aided by her two therapy dogs Beau and Roxie. She provides Animal Assisted Therapies (AAT) in combination with other therapies such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Family Systems Therapy (FST) and Parent Training. Her therapy style focuses on assisting families and individuals to achieve their value driven goals, whilst providing a warm, encouraging and safe therapy space.
One of Dee’s special interests is working with children and families through the complexities of childhood and adolescent disorders such as Autism, ADHD, intellectual impairments, anxiety, depression and Bipolar disorders. She also has experience with Oppositional Defiance and Conduct Disorders.

Educational Background
Deanna (known as Dee) has completed a Diploma of Counseling, Graduate Diploma of Psychology (First Class), Honors’ of Psychology (First Class), Masters of Professional Psychology (First Class). She is currently completing a Doctorate of Health Sciences (Psychology), focusing on Internet and Technology addiction disorders in youth. She is a registered Medicare provider and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). She is also a certified advocate for Autism Spectrum Disorders. She has experience working in multiple settings such as private practice, primary and secondary schools, Universities and tertiary settings, group settings, home-visits, prisons and probation and parole centers.
Dee has a passion for working with youth and their families and individuals.
