Dr. Amy Wong has extensive experience delivering psychology assessment and treatment overseas and in Australia. She worked in government and NGO settings for numerous years before launching Morayfield Psychology Centre in 2009. Her passion in more recent years has been on finding the most effective ways for complex trauma treatment. Dr. Wong is trained and proficient in multiple therapeutic approaches, but her favourite approaches are a combination of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Deep relaxation, Eye Movement Desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and Neurofeedback Therapy. Apart from clinical work, Dr. Wong spends much of her time providing supervision and consultation to her colleagues and other psychologists these days.

Educational Background

Amy has completed a Bachelor (Honor) Degree in Social Work, a Graduate Diploma in Psychology, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychology, a Master Degree in Clinical Psychology, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). She is a member of both the Australian Psychological Society and the College of Clinical Psychology. She is also a Board Approved clinical supervisor for post-graduate psychology students, provisional psychologists, clinical psychologist registrars and fully registered psychologists.
