Lloyd Talbot

Clinical Psychology Registrar

Lloyd is a Clinical Psychology Registrar who is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours – First Class) obtained from Central Queensland University, and a Master of Clinical Psychology. Lloyd is a passionate advocate for blending evidence-based methods with deep, insightful approaches to understanding the human mind. Lloyd brings a unique blend of cognitive behavioural techniques and Jungian principles to his practice. He believes that the cognitive behavioural model offers powerful tools for addressing present challenges, while Jungian theory provides a rich, nuanced framework for exploring the deeper aspects of identity, values, and self-awareness.

Guided by a philosophy rooted in resilience and self-mastery, Lloyd helps clients uncover the “why” behind their behaviours and emotions, empowering them to make informed, values-driven choices. His approach is client-centred, encouraging individuals to build critical thinking skills, develop practical tools for change, and foster a greater sense of self-awareness. He is particularly passionate in working with mood and anxiety disorders, as well as obsessive compulsive disorder. Nonetheless, Lloyd respects the individuality and unique experiences of each person he works with.
