Margaret has experience working with people across the life span from prenatal care to death.   Margaret prefers to work in partnership with clients, giving consideration to the people and the systems that support them as vital components to discovering possibilities for different outcomes. She has experience working with people with relationship issues and mental health challenges, in addition to providing a range of therapeutic interventions..

Educational Background

Margaret trained as a Registered Nurse via a hospital training system some years ago. She went onto complete her Midwifery training also in the hospital system in Qld.  Encouraged by the transition of nursing education to the University setting, Margaret completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Nursing)at University of Central Qld. Margaret completed a Graduate Certificate in Child and Adolescent Health with the New South Wales College of Nursing.  She completed a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health (Nursing) at University of Queensland (UQ).  She completed a Masters of Mental Health (Nursing) at USQ.  She has completed another Masters of Mental Health in Family Therapy at UQ. Most recently she has completed Foundations of University Education at the University of the Sunshine Coast.  Margaret is a Registered Nurse, a credentialed mental health nurse, a clinical Family Therapist and a Higher Education Associate.
