Shannon Webb
Provisional Psychologist
Shannon is a Provisional Psychologist who holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science (With Distinction) and a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours – First Class). Her research analysed the effects of personality traits on anxiety disorders. She is a current Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society.
Shannon has a background and experience in both forensic and clinical settings, delivering psychological intervention and assessment for adults. She is dedicated to working with clients across all age ranges and backgrounds, with special interest in the areas of depression, anxiety, stress, post-traumatic stress, self-esteem, relationship and interpersonal difficulties, grief and loss, personality disorders and, emotion regulation.
Shannon approaches every client with unconditional positive regard and creates a caring and collaborative environment, whereby therapist and client work together toward achieving therapeutic goals. Shannon has a passion across a range of therapeutic approaches including; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing and Narrative Therapy.
Amongst many things, Shannon celebrates family, laughter, anything that sparkles and, individuality! In the words of Dr. Seuss “Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is You-er than You.”
